Justin Peterson

Justin Peterson is the founder of Joinery Builders – from small residential remodels and new custom home construction, to 17-story hospital buildings, Peterson brings more than 20 years of construction experience to Joinery Builders.

Peterson was raised in the Pacific Northwest where he and his three brothers owned and operated a residential construction company for 8 years.  Upon graduating from Willamette University in Salem, OR, where Justin was an academic all-American on the Bearcat football team, Justin and his wife Shelly moved to St. Louis, Missouri where he began his career in commercial construction.

With over 15 years in commercial construction working on “mega-projects”, Justin is enjoying his return to custom home construction that enables his passion of quality craftsmanship and building.   Justin enjoys working with hand-tools, natural elements, and true craftsmen to create timeless masterpieces that clients will enjoy forever.  Justin resides in Fort Collins, Colorado with his wife Shelly and his two children.  When he is not working, Justin fills his time building furniture, snowboarding, boating, hunting, and spending time with his family.

Shelly Peterson

Shelly joins the team at Joinery to help manage behind the scenes with budgeting and project flow.

Shelly grew up in Saratoga, Wyoming.  She then travelled to Willamette University to play volleyball,  where she met Justin.    After Willamette,  she attended St. Louis University and obtained a finance degree.   Shelly has enjoyed her career in Finance and banking, and is now lending those skills to Joinery.    Her love of budgeting, being organized and staying on schedule help ensure a successful flow to the project.

There isn't a lot of free time for the Peterson Family with two very active kids, but when Shelly finds it she loves watching the kids play sports, yoga, and spending time with her friends.
